In a world in constant evolution, marked by dizzying technological advances and profound socio-cultural changes, the need arises for a space for industrial creation that transcends the traditional boundaries between disciplines and promotes creative collaboration between artists, scientists, educators, industries and communities. This space is Futurelab.
Founded by the collaboration between Fundación Caja Rural de Asturias, the Medialab Chair of the University of Oviedo and Laboral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial, Futurelab seeks to explore the possibilities that emerge from this unique convergence of disciplines.
Futurelab focuses not only on the creation of visions of the future, but also on the materialization of these visions for the public. Through collaborations with diverse educational, cultural, industrial and business institutions, the lab transforms abstract ideas into tangible realities that impact people’s daily lives.
