Stefania Strouza

Visual artist

Stefania Strouza is a visual artist currently working in Athens. Her sculptures draw associations between the symbolic world of objects and notions of temporality, corporeality and geography. Her work has been featured in exhibitions at AnnexM (solo), Onassis Stegi, ARCO Madrid 2023, the 3rd Industrial Art Biennial in Croatia, Pinta Miami 2018, the Benaki Museum, the 6th Thessaloniki Biennale of Contemporary Art, the Bauhaus Foundation Dessau, the Wiener Art Foundation (solo), the Neue Galerie Innsbruck (solo), the Athens & Epidaurus Festival (solo), the BOZAR in Brussels, and the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Athens, among others. Strouza has been an artist-in-residence at the Seeger Center for Hellenic Studies in Princeton University, US, the Bauhaus Foundation Dessau, DE, in Mexico City, MX, at MANA Contemporary New Jersey, US, at CCA Andratx in Mallorca, ES and at ISCP, USA. She is currently a PhD candidate at the Architecture Department of the University of Thessaly.
