Writer and film director. Selected by the Festival de Málaga and Editorial Cátedra as one of the leading names of the  Spanish nonfiction, along with other filmmakers like Guerín, Lacuesta or Jordá in the book Al otro lado de la ficción, among his documentary films it can be highlighted El fulgorEstratexa o La carta de Bárbara. Among his fiction films: MaluL’aire les castañes or Sangre. His signature can also been found in video clips for musicians and groups like Nacho Vegas, Manta Ray, Mus, Viva las Vegas or Aroah.

With more than a dozen books published, most of his narrative work, originally written in Asturian, it is translated to Spanish in the Las habitaciones vacías (Caballo de Troya-Random House Mondadori, 2010) volume. His latest book is Teoría de la pertenecia (Suburbia, 2012). He currently runs two TV programs in the Asturian public television (TPA): the documentary series Camín and Pieces, an audiovisual culture magazine.
