A day open to the public to get to know the work spaces and productions of the artists in residence.

LABoral organises a guided tour open to the public to show the work and production spaces, as well as to learn from the artists themselves about the work they have been developing during their residency period.

The tour will include a visit to the studios, the digital fabrication laboratory (fabLab Asturias) and the sound laboratory.

We will get to know the projects of :

STUDIOS:

Alba Matilla. The project “Sanctuary” rescues abandoned places, of historical interest or deindustrialized through photogrammetry and painting to create a new virtual world.

FABLAB:

Chylo: His project ‘Huba iterform’ reflects on our environment through sculpture and audiovisual elements.

SOUND LABORATORY:

Lofacil: They explore the relationship between performer(s) and audience, live music production and space.

Ciudadano Tinta: In their project “Palabra de Funk” they propose a way of reciting and creating poetry together with different styles of music such as funk or soul.

For more than 12 years, LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial has been a space not only for exhibitions, but also for research and production of artistic projects with several residency programmes that seek to welcome different types of creators.

Among them is the Call for Artistic Residencies, aimed at artists from Asturias or residing in Asturias. Through this programme, LABoral wants to contribute to the consolidation and growth of the Asturian artistic sector.
